ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

XRAY.FM does an annual project offering to produce and air PSAs for all participating Give!Guide nonprofits. Yea! 🥳

This is completely optional and done separately from Give!Guide staff. It's a really a nice thing for their peers with their existing platform. Their deadlines are separate from G!G, and this opportunity is not required, so successfully meeting these deadlines and/or participating will not affect your status with G!G in any way.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

2. Review the script guidelines

3. Submit your script for review OR submit your home recording file →  Use this form

4.  Schedule your time to record (if you submitted a home recording skip this step)

KEY DATES

• Sept. 7: Deadline for script submission

• Sept. 8-12: XRAY reviews and edits scripts

• Sept 15, 19 and 23: Studio recording days

• Sept. 23: Deadline for home recordings

• Sept./Oct.: XRAY edits all files

• Nov. 1: PSAs begin playing on the air!

⚠️ Scheduling conflicts? XRAY.fm is happy to grant extensions to the extent possible, but you have to actually ask for one. If you don't, they'll assume you’ve dropped off the project. 

HISTORY & PARTNERSHIPS

In 2017, XRAY began doing numerous additional community service projects to share our platform in the wake of an intensified need and want for underserved voices to be heard following the 2016 election. Similar to those PSAs, traditions such as annual teach-ins, among others, remain in place today. 

We're proud to have done hundreds (maybe thousands by now) of free PSAs for Give!Guide nonprofits since 2017. Media platforms are an increasingly valuable resource–and fulfilling our mission includes lifting up valuable and needed work in our community year round.
