Family

I grew up in Shasta County, graduating from Enterprise High School in 2000. I married my husband, Tim, in 2003. Between us, we have three children and one grandchild.

Why I Teach

I started my career in education as a paraprofessional at North Valley Non-Public School in Redding. In 2012, I accepted a position as an intern education specialist, while completing courses toward a mild/moderate education specialist credential. I taught there for a few years before moving into an administrative role. I served as principal at the non-public school for three years, before choosing to move to a public school setting.

I chose to work at West Valley with the hopes of helping students remain within their district of residence and avoid alternative placement. This year is my fourth year at West Valley and my 9^th year as a teacher.
