Level 66 is a four storied apartment that seems to be devoid of any life at all at first sight.
A theory speculates that the apartment used to be thriving with inhabitants, however a mysterious force, possibly Cognitive Resonance Conversion caused the apartments to go vacant. This is seen with the belongings found within the apartments.
Each respective floor has its own personality, despite appearing all the same on the outside. They can be traversed at ease anytime using the staircase seen adjacent to the balconies. Each floor also has an infinite number of rooms to find.
Floor 1 is byfar the most dangerous floor of the level itself. It acts similarly to Floor 2 and 3, but it is not distorted unlike the two floor above. Stepping foot into Floor 1 will throw a punch of unexpected melancholy your way, making you instantly emotional from the mysterious energy that resonates in the air. The air also contains a musky odor.
Similarly, to Floor 4, Floor 1 also contains many whispers if listening closely to the silence. Many explorers reported the whispers contain negative words such as "Hate", "Despair" or "Anguish".
Many memorandums are found in Floor 1, such as faded photographs, yellowed letters and other shattered memories.
Floor 1 is very eerie due to its single type of entity. When you explore Floor 1 for some time, you may see translucent figures called Lamenting Shades. That's a weird name for a ghost- Fredrick
From deep exploration, Floor 1 contains secret passageways and backdoors that lead to chambers where dark rituals were thought to be done in. It is said that due to these rituals, Floor 1 is a hotspot for the supernatural to linger around in.
Floor 2 maintains a distorted environment, however any photons or light shining in Floor 2 are usually consumed by darkness. Shadow creatures such as Umbral Phantoms may teem in these areas. Floor 2 is very similar with behavior in architecture with Floor 3, as it also distorts and creaks.
Floor 3 is a twisted, dark and eerie level of the 4 levels of the apartments.
The paint on the walls are worn out and peeling, with the floors also being a hazard due to being cracked and damaged. The air is the heaviest here. The architecture seen in Floor 3 is odd and breaks genuine geometric rules. Various explorers have reported that the walls and floors morph unpredictably and could also pose a major hazard. Doors that are supposed to lead to the apartments disappear and appear simultaneously.
If you wish to navigate this floor, then you must be careful, as each step into the creaky floorboards could pose hazards and could be a gamble. Shadows that seem to be animated on their own seem to "inhabit" Floor 3, they stay in corners that are dark and have no light beaming down. These are called Umbral Phantoms. They are a sentient entity found in Floor 3. They are said to hold potential secrets waiting to be told about Floor 3 or other floors of Level 66.
Oddly enough, any lighting seen in Floor 3 is always dim, no matter how high it can light an area.
As you traverse deeper into Floor 3, impossible doorways are encountered, such as doorways to forests that do not exist or deserts that cannot be fit into a single average room. Floor 3's time was observed and was declared that minutes are stretched into hours whenever navigating down Floor 3.
Floor 4 maintains its rooms as places where old wallpaper fades from the walls and/or welts from the foundation it was once stuck to. Lights seen in the rooms on Floor 4 always are on without any use of a light switch. The lights are fluorescent and may flicker from time to time. The smell of the air in these apartments are of aged wood and faded perfume. The air by some explorers, were believed to still carry the laughter and happiness of the previous inhabitants of Floor 4 alongside the heavy strong aromas.
Floor 4 has a variety of clues to support it was once thriving, such as stickers or notes being attached to the wall. These greatly support the remnants of any memories given from previous inhabitants. There can also be dusty furniture and toys scattered around the floor, which greatly shows more as if the entire floor 4 was a time capsule waiting to be opened. A calendar was discovered in one apartment, dating back to 1992 of December.
It is believed by many that if you listen closely through the air, you may hear the talking and laughing of the remnants of positive energy. Some have even reported of hearing muffled conversations too.
If you entered from Level 64, you would find yourself in this floor.
A pink door is found in this floor that can lead to Level 69, and a mini-sized version of a metal windmill with an opening that can be entered by the average explorer. Entering the hole will allow entrance to Level 136.
A method known as the "Serenity Path" is a method to get out of Level 66 safely. Here are the steps to leave Level 66.
In Floor 1, sit in a quiet and dim space to think about your past memories and loss, and acceptance.
Engage with any vivid memories that could come up.
Learn lessons in many memories that surface from your mind.
Once you uncovered the truth and lessons of your memories, embrace a forgiveness to yourself to allow yourself to let go of any possible guilt given. You may offer any painful memories to the Lamenting Shades.
Feel yourself in a state of release, and the power of Serenity Path will embrace you. You must follow the senses given by the Serenity Path to the exit of Floor 1.
Before you exit, offer a goodbye to the Lamenting Shades, to offer any excessive respect to them.
Upon leaving, instead of going back to the floors. You will be sent to Level 67.
There are no known colonies and outposts of Level 66.
