Level 40 is a small room with de-saturated lime walls and a pale white carpet floor. A classic television and a blue bike can be found here, and the bike can be taken off from this level and can be used as a good way to move. Some black-and-white posters of 1960s movies are hanging on the sides of these walls, along with a single light bar. A trapdoor can be found here and cannot be opened without a key from a specific level.
Turning on the TV, which is oddly still functional and changing the channel to Channel #2 will simultaneously teleport you to Level 138.
If you decide not to attempt to open the trapdoor, then you may find a door that is slightly ajar. Going through the door will lead to Level 41.

The trapdoor will lead to The Bismuth Caverns upon unlocking.

Turn on the TV and change the channel to Channel #2 to enter Level 138.
Changing it to an ominous Channel #@ will allow entrance to Level 142 instead.
