Job Title: Youth Activity Coordinator Internship
Salary Range: $15 per hour

Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Activity Coordinator Intern to join our team. In this role, you will assist in planning, organizing, and leading various youth programs and activities, including the Buffalo Nightwalkers Youth Basketball League. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young people, excellent communication skills, and a strong interest in community engagement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of youth activities and programs.
Lead or co-lead group activities, including sports, arts, and educational programs.
Engage with participants to encourage positive behavior, teamwork, and personal development.
Help coordinate logistics for events, including scheduling, registration, and materials.
Provide administrative support, including record-keeping and reporting.
Collaborate with staff to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all youth participants.
Attend training and development sessions to improve knowledge and skills.
Assist with marketing and promotion of programs through social media, flyers, or community outreach.

Required Certifications/Licenses
CPR and First Aid
Other Skills (will probably be learned on the job for the interns)
Work Environment
Possible exposure to airborne pathogens (e.g., COVID-19). May be required to wear personal protective equipment such as facemasks (for respiratory protection) and/or gloves.
Physical Demands
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift and/or support up to 75lbs
While performing this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is regularly required to sit, and to use hands to handle/feel objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, to taste or smell, to climb or balance, to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
