Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Digital Journalism Intern to join our dynamic editorial team. The Digital Journalist Intern will assist in producing high-quality, engaging content across multiple digital platforms, including social media, websites, and multimedia outlets. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the digital journalism field, working with a team of experienced journalists to report on current events, trends, and stories of significance to our audience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assist with content production for social media, including posting, monitoring, and engaging with followers.
Conduct interviews and gather information from various sources to produce accurate and engaging stories.
Collaborate with the editorial team on multimedia projects, including video, photo, and infographics.
Monitor current events and industry news to stay ahead of breaking stories and trends.
Contribute to brainstorming sessions for editorial direction and content strategy.
Ensure all content is optimized for digital audiences

Required Certifications/Licenses

Strong writing, editing, and research skills
A strong interest in digital journalism, media trends, and storytelling.
Ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly.
Work Environment
Possible exposure to airborne pathogens (e.g., COVID-19). May be required to wear personal protective equipment such as facemasks (for respiratory protection) and/or gloves.
Physical Demands
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift and/or support up to 75lbs
