Job Title: Audio Engineering Internship
Salary Range: $15/hour
Supervisor: Luis “Brutis” Baez
Hours: 32 hours/week
Position Summary
The Audio Engineer is responsible for managing and executing all technical aspects of audio production, including recording, editing, mixing, and mastering sound for “various media formats,” / film. They will work closely with artists, producers, and other production team members to ensure the highest quality sound output, whether for music, film , television, podcasts, or live events.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assisting in the setup and operation of audio equipment for film-related projects.
Troubleshooting audio issues during recording and mixing.
Working on location at venues like theatres (as specified, The Wyam Youth Center for film-related projects).
Record, edit, and mix audio for film
Set up, maintain, and operate audio equipment, including microphones, mixers, and digital audio workstations (DAWs).
Ensure sound is properly balanced, synchronized, and optimized across various mediums.

Physical Demands
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift and/or support up to 75lbs

The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, to taste or smell, to climb or balance, to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
