Job Title: Utilities Internship
Salary Range: $15 / hour

Status (Branch Level) / Hours: 32 Hours / week
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Utilities Intern to join our team for the [summer/fall/winter] internship program. As a Utilities Intern, you will assist with various projects and tasks related to the management and maintenance of utility systems, including water, electricity, gas, and waste systems. This internship offers hands-on experience and an opportunity to learn about the operations of utility infrastructure in a professional environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.
Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of utility systems and equipment.
Aid in the preparation and review of reports related to utility usage and system performance.
Assist in the implementation of energy-saving initiatives and sustainability programs.
Participate in safety audits and assist with maintaining safe working practices.
Conduct research and provide recommendations on utility-related technologies or processes.
Provide general administrative support to the utilities team as needed.

Work Environment
Possible exposure to airborne pathogens (e.g., COVID-19). May be required to wear personal protective equipment such as facemasks (for respiratory protection) and/or gloves.
Physical Demands
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift and/or support up to 75lbs
While performing this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is regularly required to sit, and to use hands to handle/feel objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, to taste or smell, to climb or balance, to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
