Position Summary
We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and professional driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods, passengers, or materials to designated locations in a timely and safe manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving record, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while following all safety and traffic regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Transporting Goods or Passengers: Safely and efficiently drive vehicles to transport goods, passengers, or materials to designated destinations.
Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries and pick-ups. This includes monitoring traffic, road conditions, and adjusting routes when necessary.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular checks and basic maintenance on the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Report any mechanical issues or needed repairs promptly.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of the driver, passengers, and cargo. Follow company safety protocols and guidelines.
Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional service to passengers or clients. Address inquiries or concerns respectfully, ensuring a positive experience.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including delivery logs, mileage, fuel consumption, and inspection reports. Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
Loading/Unloading: For some roles, assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring that items are secured safely for transportation.
Communication: Maintain communication with dispatchers, supervisors, or clients to provide updates on delivery or transport progress.
