Initial Setup: Before we start, please ensure that you grid settings are as follows:
To change these at any time you can go to the 'Grids and Snaps' tool on the bottom tool bar, then 'Grid Settings'.
Step 1: Press the C key (Hot-Key) on your keyboard to create a CIRCLE from a centre point sketch.
Select the plane that you would like to start sketching on. In this instance we will use the XY plane (the floor).
Step 2: Select the center point where the red and green line cross over and drag a circle outwards.
Enter a dimension of 70mm > Press Enter to confirm.
Step 3: Click on the green tick in the top right corner of the screen to 'finish sketch'.
Now select the home button above the view cube > This will change your view to isometric.
Step 4: Press the E key on your keyboard to enter the EXTRUDE command.
Select the circle you created in step 2 and pull this outwards, or simply enter the dimension of 15mm in the dimension box.
Step 5: Press the L key on your keyboard to enter the LINE command.
Start a new line drawing starting where the red and green lines overlap.
Create a diagonal line that extends 3 grid squares above the center (red) line.
Press Escape to exit the line tool.
Press the L key to start a new line drawing starting where the red and green lines overlap.
Create a diagonal line that extends 3 grid squares below the center (red) line.
Press Escape to exit the line tool.
Step 6: Click on the green tick in the top right corner of the screen to 'finish sketch'.
Now select the home button above the view cube > This will change your view to isometric.
Step 7: Press the E key on your keyboard to enter the EXTRUDE command.
Select the section you created in step 5 (Pac-Mans mouth) and pull this downwards, or simply enter the dimension of -15mm in the dimension box.
Step 8: Press the F key on your keyboard to enter the FILLET command.
Carefully select all 8 edges.
Enter a dimension of 2 mm and press ENTER to confirm.
Step 9: Press the C key (Hot-Key) on your keyboard to create a CIRCLE from a centre point sketch.
Select the top face of the Pac-Man.
Draw a circle on the green line (one grid space down) and enter a dimension of 10mm. Press Enter to confirm the circle.
Step 10: Click on the green tick in the top right corner of the screen to 'finish sketch'.
Now select the home button above the view cube > This will change your view to isometric.
Step 11: Press the E key on your keyboard to enter the EXTRUDE command.
Select the small circle you created in step 9 (Pac-Man's eye) and pull this downwards, or simply enter the dimension of -1mm in the dimension box.
Step 12: Press the A key on your keyboard to enter the APPEARANCE command.
Expand the 'Plastic' tab > Expand the 'Translucent' tab > Select the 'Plastic - Translucent Glossy (Yellow)' material from the list and drag this directly onto the model.
Step 13 - Optional: Press CTRL+4.
This will change the visual style from 'Shaded with visible edges only' to 'shaded'.
Press Windows Key+SHIFT+S to take a screenshot of your final CAD model.
