Travel essentials and visa letters

We do not engage directly with any embassy but, in order to support your visa application, you can request a letter from us confirming that you have a ticket to attend Web Summit. 

Here you can consult the list of countries that do not require visa to enter Portugal.

How to obtain visa letter

You can request a letter by signing into your Web Summit attendee portal. To sign in, you will need your ticket booking reference, which can be found in your confirmation email or on your ticket dashboard.

1. Start by filling out your public profile, if you haven’t already, and select your interests to complete your profile. Once you're done, click on the 'Complete Profile' and you'll be taken to the next page.

2. On the 'Attendee documents' page, click 'Request confirmation letter' and add your details

(Name, Nationality, Country of residence, Passport number and Date of birth)

3. You will receive your letter shortly after.

You can only apply for this letter once, so you must enter your information correctly.

Please note: It is your sole responsibility to take care of visa requirements. If you require an entry visa to attend, volunteer or exhibit at Web Summit, you must allow sufficient time for the visa application procedure
