22nd February 2024 - Students receive their password for Edval Choice and details of how to access the Edval Choice portal

22nd February 2024 - Year 9 Parents' Evening

28th February 2024 - Provisional date for visit to The Guernsey Institute for Vocational Courses Taster sessions

29th February 2024 - Final Deadline for options Preferences to be entered into Edval Choice

25th March 2024 - Guidance Meetings Start

As you approach the end of Year 9 and the first phase of secondary education (Key Stage 3), it is necessary to make some important choices about the courses you wish to follow at GCSE level. Les Varendes high School follows the Guernsey Curriculum which means all students study the same core subjects and choose from a limited number of options.

This website gives information about the choices available and some advice about making those choices.  You will receive further information in PSHCE lessons and from teachers and tutors.

 We will try, as far as possible, to enable you to study the options you choose, but you must be aware that certain constraints including:

●     staff availability;

●     the arrangement of subjects in timetable blocks;

●     viable teaching set numbers;

mean student preferences cannot be guaranteed.
