Monday, April 23rd : Today, students completed a WWII Case File where they examined objects to make inferences about aspects of WWII on the homefront! Upon completion, we introduced key leaders in the War. HW: Review key leaders for unit assessment on May 4th.
Tuesday, April 24th : Today, students completed a vocabulary exercise regarding key content vocabulary for WWII. Upon completion, we completed interactive notes on the beginning of WWII (prior to the US's entrance) HW: Review key leaders and new vocabulary for unit assessment on May 4th.
Wednesday, April 25th : Today, students a Jigsaw activity about the attacks on Pearl Harbor where we looked at three different perspectives to compare/contrast how different people experience and retell information. HW: Review leaders, vocabulary and key information about the attacks on Pearl Harbor for unit assessment on May 4th. .
Thursday, April 26th : Today, students learned about Japanese-Internment and the treatment of Japanese-Americans after the attacks on Pearl Harbor. We compared this information to that of Mexican Repatriation in the Great Depression.. HW: Review leaders, vocabulary, key information about the attacks on Pearl Harbor, and Japanese Internment for unit assessment on May 4th.
Friday, April 27th : Today, students completed a DBQ exercises about life on the Homefront. HW: Review all materials from this week for next Friday's unit assessment.
