Today, students spent their last in-class time completing websites using their project rubrics as guidelines.
HW: Work on website in necessary. We will be begin webquests tomorrow.
Tuesday, April 17
Today, students explored their peers website taking on the form of a webquest.
HW: Work on webquests at home if needed. We will create double-bubbles with this information in class.
Wednesday, April 18
Today, students explored their peers website taking on the form of a webquest and used the information to create three double-bubble maps that compared and contrasted information they learned about.

Thursday, April 19
Today, students learned about FDR's New Deal Programs. We decided if he was a man on his word/promises or if he was "fake".
HW: None! DBQ Assessment tomorrow.
Friday, April 20
Today, students completed their Roaring Twenties/Great Depression DBQ Assessment. This assessment counts as half of their summative grade for this unit.

Monday 4/9: Students will be participating in a stock market simulation. They will be buying and selling stocks and mimicking a real stock market. Students will also be learning about buying on margin and how this exasperated the crash as well as bank closures. HW: Work on website
Tuesday 4/10: Students will be learning more about the Great Depression. They will be participating in a Gallery Walk, in which they will be moving about the classroom analyzing photos from this time period and responding to probing questions. HW: Work on website
Wednesday 4/11: Students had an extra day of working on websites in the media center. HW: Work on website.
Thursday and Friday 4/12 and 4/13: Students will be working on their Roaring 20s and Great Depression websites. They should begin their Great Depression topics. HW: Work on website
Wednesday 3/21: Students worked on Roaring 20s Introduction Reading and Vocabulary
Thursday 3/22: Students will be working on Prohibition DBQ they will also be given information on their next assessment. It will be a website on the political, social, and economic changes during the 1920s and 1930s. Students will be given their rubric, calendar, and graphic organizer for this project
Friday 3/23: Students will be reading "A Flapper's Appeal to Parents." They will be answering questions based on the reading. Students will then be participating in a "Dinner Party" where they will be learning about prominent individuals and social groups of the 1920s.
