About Mrs. Evans: Mrs. Evans is the Social Studies teacher and team leader for the Seahawks. She is married and the proud momma of two little boys! Mrs. Evans is a National Board Certified Teacher and also serves as the SS dept. chair at AMS. In her spare time, she enjoys spoiling her boys, traveling throughout NC and cheering on the Wolfpack!

Mrs. Evans would encourage our 8^th graders to read Sleeping Freshman Never Lie by David Lubar.

About Mrs. Dewar: Mrs. Dewar is the Science teacher for the Seahawks. She is married and the proud grandma of three sweet toddlers! Mrs. Dewar is a National Board Certified Teacher and also serves as the Science dept. chair at AMS. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, DIY projects, and completing Sudoku and jigsaw puzzles.

Mrs. Dewar would encourage our 8^th graders to read Code Orange by Caroline Cooney.

About Mrs. Otten: Mrs. Otten is the Math 8 and Math I teacher for the Seahawks. She is married and also serves as the cheerleading coach at AMS. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, fitness, and reality television.

Mrs. Otten would encourage our 8^th graders to read Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt.

Ms. Barnard is the Language Arts teacher for the Seahawks. She is a recent NCSU graduate and is eager to begin her teaching career. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, running and taking road trips!
