Join Vidya Nahar, ERYT-500, for regular live mat / chair yoga-pilates classes at VYAYAM ONLINE through Zoom conferencing, where you can practice yoga safely from the comfort of your home.

Mat yoga classes currently meet daily at 5:45 a.m., 11 a.m., 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. Saturday - Sunday. Chair yoga classes meet daily Monday thru Thursday at 5:15 p.m.  All these classes are one hour each in length. No classes on Fridays. All class times mentioned above are central standard time (Chicago time).

All classes are multi-level, with modifications suggested for beginning levels. 

Classes on Mondays at 11 a.m., Tuesdays at 5:45 a.m., Wednesdays at 5:15 p.m., and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. are restorative / yin / gentle classes, practiced with bolsters, blocks, straps, and extended Pranayama segments. 

Classes on Sundays are Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations), Pranayama, and meditation.

All classes meet concurrently online via zoom and in studio in person at 1165, Alden Lane, Buffalo Grove, IL, 60089, and have the components of joints and glands exercises from top to bottom, core strengthening & back rejuvenating poses / moves, relaxation, Pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, and laughter.

You may try one week for free all of these classes in the live online format (no free classes for in person classes in studio), and then decide to join in the paid program for continued practice. 

This free one week of unlimited live online yoga-Pilates classes offer is available only to new participants of VYAYAM's online yoga classes. You'll receive a class link email one day prior to the starting date indicated by you on the form, that will be valid for all live online classes for the said week. Make sure to check your spam folder, if you don't see our email with the class link in your regular mailbox. 

VYAYAM reserves the right to send or not send this class link to new registrants.

New weeks begin at VYAYAM on 1, 8, 15, 22 of each month, with no classes on 29 / 30 / 31 of each month. 

No free classes are available for in-person yoga-pilates classes at VYAYAM.

While you don't need to buy all the accessories right away, a yoga mat, two foam yoga blocks, a yoga strap (with a buckle for adjusting), two dumbbells (1 pound / 3 pound / 5 pound), a resistance band (stretchy tube), a 36 inch foam roller, a stability ball, and a pilates ring are recommended for the initial purchase.

Yoga style practiced is SARVANG Yog created by Vidya Nahar at VYAYAM. SARVANG (sarv + ang, sarv means all, ang means limb/s) in Sanskrit means pertaining to all limbs / all encompassing. It is a name of Shiva, who is considered to be the originator of Yoga (Yogadhiraj) - the ultimate meditator. SARVANG is also an acronym for Spiritually Awakening, Rejuvenating, Veda-Aligned, Nourishing Gratitude (Yog). We practice Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Kriya Yoga, Yin Yoga, Chair Yoga, Laughter Yoga, and Yoga-Pilates Fusion under the umbrella of SARVANG Yog. 

Centering, breath awareness, breath synchronized movements, joints and glands movements, balancing / twisting / stretching / core strengthening poses / moves, relaxation, Pranayama, meditation, and laughter are an integral part of each SARVANG Yog practice designed by Vidya. Props such as yoga blocks, yoga straps, wall, towels, chair, resistance band, pilates ring, dumbbells, stability ball are used to enhance, deepen, support, and strengthen the practice.

These classes are for adults and for kids older than 8 years. Each adult and child participating in the class must be enrolled separately. Fees are payable for each individual participant including adults and children.
