The students are working to create and analyze graphs and will begin review CER's.

Algebra:
Student are working on solving multi-step equations, reviewing what they learned last year. We will be working on inequalities next!
Pre-Algebra:
Students are working with numbers in the Real Number System, as well as approximating them on a number line. We will be having our first quiz of the year on Wednesday, September 13th!
Reading/Writing
Reading: We have been working on building reading routines in class. Students should read 20 minutes/night. In addition, we are working on viewing videos and reading texts to learn about literary analysis.
Writing: We have been working on classroom expectations and writing those for the grade level. We have reviewed figurative language and we will review parts of speech. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we will take iReady. Students should have their computers charged and bring their chargers to school.
History
We began looking back to the first people who inhabited North and South America. We discussed various theories of how people spread to each continent. Then we spent time discussing migration and the push and pull factors that exist. Students were given time to think and talk about ancient and modern migrations.
