Review (S1):
Found through memes and references of the manga literally everywhere and finally some google recommendation thingy saying that the anime was airing in october.
i had very high expectations for this anime and they were not only met but quite frankly surpassed. i've been looking forward to this anime ever since i had heard about it because the manga seemed so popular. great concept, great story, hints of romance, a new season coming soon. great characters, doesnt rly show any fan service, and is funny. literally the only complaint is that i'm not the biggest fan of Yamai bc she's a psycho bitch but other than that i like the characters. can't wait for season 2! (also finished in 2 days lol?)
Review (S1 Rewatch):
Another Rewatch off the list, and to be honest it was nice coming back to Komi. Characters are awesome and very distinct, the show was just as funny and entertaining as I remember. If Season 2 has some decent story development like I've heard it to have, I will move this above K-On.
I don't think the actually quality has improved after rewatching, I think it's just the same as it was before. My former expectations were met. The show does get pretty weird at times, being perverse with Agari and Yamai's character traits. But the show does its job in a unique way that I enjoy, and I thought most of the moments were pretty memorable and rewatchable. Hopefully season 2 is not only just as good, but better!
Review (S2):
Season 2 of Komi kinda just felt like Season 1 for the most part, but the story is still definitely progressing. It's interesting to see Komi start to talk more to Tadano in person now, as opposed to her not talking to him at all in S1. Some new lovable characters were introduced, but I overall think this season was a bit weirder than last season.
Overall, the quality remained identical to Season 1, but I was let down. I wasn't let down by the actual show, but by a YouTube video title that was misleading. I get recommended Anime stuff on YouTube ALL the time. It's actually the reason I read the Demon Slayer manga, because I kept getting majorly spoiled by YouTube thumbnails and other sources. There was a video titled "Komi embarrassed by confession" or something along those lines. I immediately thought that Season 2 would contain a confession of some sort, but I was wrong. The video was semi-clickbait and referred to the "I love you" game that Yamai wanted to play. So, I was anticipating a major story element that didn't exist. Other than that the Season was good! Just nothing groundbreaking.
