Review:
Found thru a youtube clip with hatsune miku in it, seemed interesting.
When I first got into this anime I didn’t have any prior expectations whatsoever. I just saw Hatsune Miku in a s3 clip and was like oh shit this looks interesting. Turns out that miku doesn't even make an appearance until s3 which isn't done airing which means I have to watch it later so basically that whole excitement went down the drain.
However, the show itself is really good actually. It was really weird at first, and it didn’t really explain what was going on. The characters from the very beginning were already good, and they got better and better as time went on. The show was very very funny, with many 4th wall breaks, a bunch of very meta references, a lot of gore but I thought that was funny as well, and it overall was a great execution of comedy. It was a very weird show, and it reminds me of Panty and Stocking in a way. The show is just super wacky with some fantasy-based concept, just like PSG.
The story was kinda whatever, I didn’t rly care about it bc it didn’t matter that much to the show, and the consistency was trash but it was very entertaining overall. There was a bit of fanservice, and like I said it was really weird and random at times but was good. I liked it more than I thought I would.
Review (S3):
Tf did I just watch.
Yeah this show's always been really weird but wtf was that. I went into this with basically no expectations because the show is such a nothing show, like it just exists bro. But this shit was beyond filler.
Half of this season was just Jashin walking around random areas of Japan and running away from debt collectors. The only reason this isn't like a 5/10 is because the last few episodes were actually pretty interesting and enjoyable and more similar to Seasons 1 and 2. But my god, this is by far the worst season. Just overall a really weird line of events and during some episodes I was so lost about what was even going on.
I'm really disappointed because the appearance of Hatsune Miku in this season is the entire reason I even watched the show. Yet this season was by far the worst. The comedy, 4th wall breaks, and character breaking got so bad that the show started to become self aware at how shit it is.
With all of that being said, I think the ending theme was really good, like it was surprising. It's really catchy. The visuals got worse in my opinion bc they just got lazy, and the 4th wall breaks and comedy just got repetitive. Overall, not super good but still watchable to an extent.
Drop Explanation:
S3 really sucked and I just don't find this show funny anymore. I did not understand anything in S3 and it just fell off so hard. Not worth my time.
