Tancho

Bio:

Tancho grew up alongside her brother Kawazoko in Hataya Village, a small silk-weaving community in the northern reaches of the Mud Kingdom. Her parents passed away due to disease when she was very young, leaving her and her brother in the care of the rest of the village. When she was only four years old she and her brother were drafted into the SandWing Civil War, which resulted in Kawazoko being severely injured and rendered flightless. The war left an extreme impact on Tancho, strengthening her resolve to protect her brother and her village while also causing her to vow to never kill or mortally wound another. She began training under a village elder named Kokuyouseki in the art of non-lethal combat, focusing primarily on quickly ending any fights she may find herself in with minimal injury to either side.

Tancho is deeply caring for those close to her, believing it to be her duty to protect those who can’t protect themselves. She rarely if ever left her village following the war, worrying that if she did something bad could happen to it. She also has a habit of taking on others’ burdens, even at her own expense. She can often be forceful – especially when angered – and is not one to put up with others’ nonsense. Despite her incredible fighting prowess she still frequently doubts her abilities and is quick to point out flaws in her technique, no matter how minor.
