Hidden

Hidden grew up in the suburbs of Drakenon, always living in the shadow of the Jade Science Institute. He was adopted by his SkyWing father at a very young age, and while he never knew his birth parents he has little interest in meeting them, as he is perfectly happy with his adopted father Bill and brother Ricky. He and Ricky are very close siblings, and together with their close friend Xavier they form a tight-knit group. Hidden has no interest in having any sort of romantic partner, as he finds romance to be incredibly convoluted and irritating.

Hidden graduated high school at age 11, and through an accelerated program got a master’s degree in mechanical engineering at age 16. Despite this, he would spend the next year as a mere intern at the Jade Science Institute, his age, lack of a PHD, and often reckless approach to science lessening his reputation amongst many of the other researchers at the lab. He still lives in his childhood home with his father, who works as a researcher at JSI as well.

Hidden loves building things and has been constructing machines since he was a young dragonet. He has a special interest in robotics, though often branches out to other fields as well when in the mood. His hardware skills and Xavier’s software skills allow for them to create a variety of interesting things, though Hidden’s frequent lack of foresight and penchant to rush through things often results in their projects ending in catastrophic failure. Hidden doesn’t let this get him down though, being a staunch believer in the value of failure as a teaching tool and vowing to always help clean up the messes he quite frequently makes.

When he’s not working on his next crazy scheme, Hidden enjoys hanging out with Ricky and Xavier. He is an avid enjoyer of video games as well, particularly those that involve designing efficient and complex systems and machines.
