Murphy

This character was created based on u/WholesomelyChaotic's WoFxSCP crossover on the r/WingsOfFire subreddit.

For all of his life, Doctor Murphy has had the worst of luck. A stray bolt of lightning ended up burning down half of his middle school, his parents were nearly killed when a plane crashed into the side of their house, and almost every time he goes on vacation some sort of natural disaster sweeps in behind him like a piece of toilet paper stuck to his hind talon. Even at the Foundation, Murphy finds almost all of his experiments ending in some catastrophic failure despite him being incredibly devoted to maintaining proper safety procedures. Yet despite everything that seems to go wrong around him, Murphy himself is oddly never directly or physically injured by any of these disasters.

The Foundation eventually caught on to his anomalously bad luck, and at the suggestion of the head of Site 30 it was decided to send Murphy as a double agent to an upstart enemy faction in order to test the extent and usefulness of his abilities. Within three weeks the once threatening organization had nearly collapsed in on itself.

Murphy now acts as an agent at Site 30, being sent out to enemy groups in order to sabotage them with his bad luck. He still holds his position as doctor despite the site staff wanting to keep him as far away from research as they can, thus netting him the nickname Agent Doctor Murphy. Murphy himself is often timid and a little skittish, afraid that he will bring misfortune to those around him. He practices safety religiously, and longs to return to research despite knowing that it would probably end in disaster yet again. His work in espionage has acquainted him with Azalea and Miller, who are often sent to retrieve him at the end of his missions.
