Detailed report for the January 22 meeting

The meeting on January 22 was yet another success with three members joining us!The meeting featured three speeches. TM S-mori made her Icebreaker where she talked about her experience in touching Western culture in Japan in her childhood. TM M-ma talked about his experience in working for a cabbage farmer and what he learned in the hard-working environment there, winning the Best Speaker Award. TM T-da made a humorous speech on his experience in using English in his office when he was suddenly moved to an international department from a domestic one. The speeches received feedback from the evaluators, including TM S-ne who made a significant evaluation following what we learned in the workshop in the last meeting.In the table topics session, TM Y-to presided a story-making table topics where the speakers advised TM Y-to how to spend comfortable winter season. Before the end of the meeting, we received declarations for membership from two second-time guests and one Toastmaster guest! We conducted an induction ceremony on the spot and welcomed all three. Also, we elected TM O-zumi as our new Sergeant at Arms and T-mura as our new Secretary.The meeting was emceed by O-zumi, a university student who served as Toastmaster of the Morning for the first time as a "pure member" of Tokyo Metropolitan Toastmasters Club. Below is his comment.22日に開催された例会では、１名が英語スピーチ、２名が日本語スピーチで練習の成果を披露され、すばらしい会となりました。また、テーブルトピックスも寒い時期にふさわしい、タイムリーなもので楽しめました。さらに、新たに３人がご入会され、今後の盛り上がりを感じさせる会でした。ちなみに、私は初めてTMOMを務めたのですが、みなさまのサポート・ご協力で大変有意義な経験となりました。今後のマネージメントスキルの成長につなげたいと思います。ありがとうございました！
