Detailed report for the 7th meeting on November 27

On November 27, the “lucky” 7th regular meeting of Tokyo Metropolitan Toastmasters Club (TMTMC) took place at Jinbocho Kumin-kan. It was fine"Akibare" morning, and the meeting was attended by 3 non-Toastmasters guests and 15 Toastmasters.

The meeting was held in Jinbocho Kumin-kan, in a location with the atmosphere of culture and sports. Jinbocho is famous as “the town of book” , “town of students”and “town of sports shop,especially skiing”. And it is conveniently located in terms of public transportation.There were 3 prepared speeches.The first speech(in English) was by Mr. O.N. entitled“To eat,or not to eat. Is it a problem?"(CC # 2" Organize Your Speech ). He tried to perform interactively with and his challenge made us feel his potential.The second speaker(in English) was TM A.F.entitled “ Traditional Japanese winter 2.0 "( CC 8#- "Get Comfortable with Visual Aids ). She performed in Kimono. She herself seemed to be an efficient visual aid.The third speeches(in Japanese)was Mr.Y.S. entitled “３つの教訓” （Icebreaker).It was beyond self-introduction,and his story had a lot of fun.All the 3 speakers were evaluated by experienced evaluators from other clubs.Before prepared speeches, TM S.M. introduced News of the Week (short speech session original to TMTMC).Between prepared speeches and evaluating session , we enjoyed table topics about Asian Games in China. Mr.N.I.conducted well and warmed up the meeting. Actually,he was going to leave Japan in the following week due to his job function, did his last role before he went to the U.S.After the educational session of the meeting, Mr. S.M., visiting us for the second time, declared his membership and became a member!The lunch gettogether after the meeting was held in Korean home cuisine restaurant.P.S.TM N.I. send us e-mail. He arrived at Detroit Dec.1st. He really enjoy his new life in the US and he is going to find TMC.We hope to hearing his speech again in Japan in near future.
