TCL 2019 Game against Sixth Sense

Match Report:

I will jump straight to the toss event. Thank God that the team didn't let me go for the toss. #TitansMcGrath went for the toss and came back with a smile. He will go for the toss from now on, until luck doesn't favor him 😊 Thanks everyone for coming on time and doing stretches and catch practice before the game, except one player. Anyways, we took batting after winning the toss. We are still trying to finalize openers position in the team, which is very essential. So, we tried with 2 more openers #HumanComupter and #TitansMcGrath. #TitansMcGrath deserved to open, since he won the toss for us 😊 but looks like luck didn't favor him while batting. #FakeDhoni went in and was watching most of the time, while his partner was stealing some valuable runs at the other end. At the end #FakeDhoni gave a catch practice to keeper and came back sad to the pavilion 😊 #MadCaptain followed him, and this time, he decided to stick around in the middle and make all the fielders run for their money. In the meantime, #TitansSehwag and #MrCouchPotato joined and did not want to spend time with him, since they don't like #MadCaptain 😉 #SivaAkhtar joined #MadCaptain and the runs started flowing, because these 2 have some history in this ground. Last I remember, they had a partnership of 70+ runs last year. They batted all the way until the 13th over and they both got out in the same over (it tends to happen when 2 batsmen have a big partnership). Rest of the batsmen added valuable 9 runs in last 2 overs. We set a target of 87 for the opponent.

Same pair who opened the batting started bowling too. As always #HumanComupter was right on the money in bowling. This season, his line and length are impeccable. #SivaAkhtar drew the first blood, but #HumanComupter took the wicket of the batsman who started to threaten the bowlers, and it was possible because of one sharp catch by the keeper #MrCouchPotato. Maruthi (#WannaBeFit), Pavan (#MrQuietGuy) and Darani (#MrDelicateGuy) contributed nicely in the bowling department. They kept on taking the opponent's wickets in regular interval esp. #MrDelicateGuy, but the worry was the run-rate. The run-rate was around 5 and one batsman was batting sensibly. They hit a couple of boundaries at the end of the 13th over, and suddenly the equation was from 28 in 3 overs to 19 runs in last 2 overs. But for some reason, I was not stressed, because of our bowlers ability, maybe that was part of Sixth Sense 😉 Last over from #MrCouchPotato was outstanding. He troubled their well-set main batsman a lot and he could score only 2 runs. The icing on the cake was the wicket of him in last ball. Happy to see that #MrCouchPotato’s form is coming back in bowling, since it is much needed for the team.

Man of the match – Well deserved #HumanComupter for his valuable 22 runs, 2 overs and 2 wickets

Positives:

1. Positive batting, we scored 80+, which is a good sign.

2. Deja vu moment for #MadCaptain and #SivaAkhtar in batting partnership. In this format, a couple of partnerships will really help while batting.

2. #MrCouchPotato is back. Welcome back to the game 😊

Negatives:

Back to no negative points 😃

Special shout out to #TitansSehwag who brought Haleem for the entire team, it was the world's best haleem.

Don't look back from here. Keep having fun on the field.
