June 17 2012 - vs Warriors (TCL)

We won the toss and without hesitancy chose to bat. Shanmugum gave us a good start, but culd not convert it to a considerable score. We lost some quick wickets, and we were around 4 runs per over in 7th over with 5 wickets back in the hut. Sakthi, Kalyan and Chen played very good and scored 19 each. Francis added a valuable 11 runs. All three dispatched the ball to the fence couple of times. Special mention required for and excellent flick six over deep square leg by Francis. We managed to set a very good target of 106.

Defending 106, with our bowling attack was a mere formality. Sakthi bowled amazingly, he mixed some clever slower balls in between and took three wickets in the process. Kalyan bowling was outstanding, he was unplayable. It was a pleasure watching his bowling from the slips. Vinay also bowled good, and rattled the stumps twice. We dropped couple of catches in the field, but we took some good catches.

Kalyan and Sakthi shares the MOM for a quick 19 runs, and their bowling figures read exactly the same 3-12-3. (hhmm what a coincidence!!!)
