Forged by Flame

It has been said that wherever these Valleyfolk travel, the sun will burn the brightest light and the moon will cast its darkness shadow. Dust will turn to gold and all the forms of formality, nobility and loyalty will be recreated in the presence of this divine creation. A faction whose capabilities meet endless possibilities and whose mysterious lore lead hearts to a platinum purpose.

Long before, when the first of Goldenwind was formed, the sand beneath their paws roared with the clashing of waves. Endless seas spanned for miles in a symphony of blues. It was a paradise of breezy winds and a vast array of life. Though as they all say; every good thing must come to an end.

So the once mighty seas vanished, crumbling into thousands of crystal grains, shining golden sand glittering upon the earth which waters had once claimed so tightly.

It has been said through tales passed down from one star to the next, that the reason for such a heavy loss lies within the beings whose powers held no restraint. As mysterious as the land itself, these creatures, these aspects ruled the land. The stars foretold that the fire aspect's lover perished within the golden seas, and in a desperate bid for their beloved, laid waste to the ocean.

Desperation is a powerful motivator, unforgiving and ever-changing.

It was widely known that none could hold the attention of Phoenix, for his eyes were already set on another. It is a tale of tragedy, and endless pursuit so sorrowful that it forever changed the land.

Burning. Endless Burning.

Vanished, became the ocean, scorched sand and crisp laver riddled the seabed. It created caverns and tunnels beneath the earth, deepening chasms and burrowing through the rock. Perhaps Phoenix was selfish in this aspect, caring for none except his late beloved. His pursuits did not end with him however, for it is rumoured that the aspect of fire did not perish as he had hoped to.

Unable to reunite with his beloved, the flame merely slumbered, hidden beneath the earth in those trenches, covered by chasms where sun would not pierce his hide.

Beneath, the flame only flickered, never extinguished.

Relation with Other Factions/Outsiders

As the largest faction within the valley, Goldenwind tries to remain amicable when meeting others. They remain self-sufficient within the desert, guarding their resources close and only providing aid when strictly necessary. However, Breezes are a valleyfolk founded on trust, and as slowly as the grains of sands shift, it takes months of building rapport to be accepted by the desert bloods. They remain ever curious of the outside world, intent on using that information to better themselves. All outsiders, even if they are injured, heat exhausted or the Star isn't the one who found them will be brought to the Dawn Throne. There they will be treated for any life threatening conditions, while the Star "vets" them for their intentions within the sands of Goldenwind.
