‘Dancers who play with deaths call, and sing the song of death’
‘’An Eirmuirian does not shy away from the fight,
Flashing fangs, thundering paws against the heartbeat of battle
For they cannot remain still when the call of Aurora echoes across the land.’’
The Eir, the land they live on is filled with mystery that even the wolves who call the land home find themselves unearthing. Mystical tales surround the land of beasts within it who are themselves whispers in nature, fading into the mist. Many in Eirmuir originate from wanderers, lost to the world and wishing to connect to it. For this, the Clan is a tightly knitted community working towards the same goal of protecting the balance of the earth and sea. Eirmurians prefer to call themselves a Clan rather than a pack. The Clan is what is important, together, they are the beating heart of the land, and individually, they are the blood. Eirmuirians have an unsworn connection with the ocean, despite its harsh and cruel nature to the unwitting, it is their greatest ally. For this, their heart must remain close to the coast as Eirmuirians hate to be landlocked and find themselves seeking water at all times.
The Clan have learned from the past of the First Ones, the information of the Clan is not given away freely, fearful that the wrong ears will cause unjust blood washing. They share their knowledge of the Waking Realm and the Sleeping Realm only to those deserving. The Ocean gives life to all that is Eirmuir, believing that with such a strong force on their side - they are beckoned by greater forces. Living alongside the rugged coast calls in sea fogs often that stretch across the boggy land, giving the Eirmuirians the unknowing appearance of Specters that float through impenetrable territory. They consider the fog almost as a second pelt, one they wear even prouder.
Water is all giving, all wanting.
The ocean is their true connection to the land, some even consider land their family. Whether they are ocean born, or joined ranks - the Ocean is forever their greatest friend.
Tide in. Tide out. The natural flow of the ocean is like the breath of Eirmurians.
Valleyfolk and Other Creatures unknown to the Clan are referred to as “filch”, the way these beings are treated is reflected in how they treat the Eirmuirians. If the nature of the Valleyfolk wandering is found to be trespassing, they are expected to have good reason for trespassing on Eirmuirs’ territory. If they indeed have a good heart, they may be allowed to stay in an adjacent ‘camp’, with Sentries keeping an eye on them. However if these Valleyfolk are deemed to be within the territory on poor faith, they are to be chased from the Clan’s border and watched by a Sentry until they confirm that the intruder is far past the border entirely.
If a Valleyfolk intends to join Eirmuir, they are brought to the attention of the Chief and the Chorus where they are given an opportunity to prove themselves to the Clan. They are given two challenges and must complete both.

Strong is the heart, beating beside others.
Eirmuir found their beginning back where it is believed everything began - the ocean and the giver of all. The ocean forever has been a consistent comfort and ally to the coastal pack, often found after extreme sea storms having pushed the sea prey upon the shore as though gifts to the wolves. The love for the ocean is greater in Eirmuir than anywhere else, whether the pack wolves were searching for something, were needing a fresh start or any other reasons, they heard the oceans call.
While the Clan spends most of their time along the coast, they live amongst the sea caverns that face the raging sea, calling the cavern passages their home beneath their home. They desire to be along the oceans edge, feeling its pull and silent call within their souls. Though their connection to the land is not as ancient as others, their call to prevent blood spilling is their connection. Honour is important in the Clan, and one should never break their oath to the pack as they will fall into the Fade where none will hear them. Though many outside of Eirmuir find themselves avoiding the subject of death, finding it too grim - the Clan walks alongside it.
Death is not to be feared, but to be learned from and celebrated in Eirmuir.
At one point, there was a very different culture in Eirmuir, one far crueller until recent times when Macgyver overthrew the prior Ard Ri.
THE GREAT EXCHANGE
Eirmuir relies heavily on the prey of the ocean, and in turn, the land benefits from this in what the Clan calls The Great Exchange. When the carcasses are left to break down they feed the soil with the nutrients found in the prey, helping the earth bloom waves of flowers and to help the trees grow even taller.
All life benefits from the water in one way or another.
