Labyrinth & Zokor - Part 1 (Understanding The Basics)

Effective traps: Forgotten

  • To travel to laby and zokor you need to be Duke rank and have obtained the labyrinth key from fungal cavern for 30K gold and 1 crystal crucible.
  • Laby and zokor are closely related to each other. You cannot enter zokor without first farming for clues at laby. It's also worth noting that going to laby and zokor with anything less than Crystal Crucible Trap (that can be obtained from fungal cavern trapsmith) will give you lower than average catchrate. Even with crystal crucible trap itself the catch rate isn't fantastic either so be prepared to see lots of redboxes until you have crafted the Endless Labyrinth Trap. If you have some shielding charms laying around in your inventory, you could put them to good use here to avoid those redboxes, mouse stealing your gold and cheese.
  • Laby and zokor can be quite profitable but you need to know how to manage resources properly in order to hunt for an extended amount of time here. You should manage your loot according to your needs . It is also important to note that your planned run might change due to the unpredictable doors at the intersection, so you have to be flexible and change accordingly or you could just shuffle your way through to get your desired way. Here are a few resources that you should take note off to micro manage them. They are:
    1. Cheese ( glowing gruyere cheese )
    2. Compass magnet
    3. Shuffler's cube
    4. Lantern oil
    5. Charms ( super/lantern oil charm, compass magnet charm, etc)
    6. District loots ( fealty plate, scholar scrolls, tech cores, infused plate, powercore hammer, sacred script)
  • Your goals here are to get these late game traps:
    1. Minotaur base (2nd best base)
    2. Event horizon trap
    3. Temporal turbine trap
  • These trap are the most powerful and will take a time to craft as you will need to do multiple runs for the crafting materials.

Resource Explaination

  • Glowing gruyere cheese a.k.a GGC
    • the most used cheese here that has the best attraction
    • avoids stalker which failure to catch provides dead end clue
    • can be crafted or bought from flea / market
  • Compass magnet
    • these allow you to remove 3 clues from every type including dead end clues.
    • these are especially usefully when you need to remove unwanted clues or want to go beyond 100+ clues for a district.
    • expensive but can be obtained during events
    • can be bought at laby general store for 10 pcs loot each area plus gold.
  • Shuffler's cube
    • shuffles the door at the intersection giving you new doors
    • the doors will appear at random so you might have to use more than 1 if you are not getting what you want.
    • expensive but can be obtained during events or Kings cart.
    • can be bought at laby general store for 10 pcs loot each area plus gold.
  • Lantern oil
    • these allow you to find additional clues from district
    • expensive but can be bought using laby district loot at laby general store
    • needed for every run if you plan to exceed 100+ clues
    • can be used anytime in the hallways except intersection
  • Compass magnet charms
    • similar to compass magnet but this charm gives a chance to remove only dead end clues. It's will not remove dead end clues every time.
    • prevents dead end clues while hunting.
    • can be crafted with magnetic chunk from ronza
    • can be bought from flea / market.
  • Super / lantern oil charms
    • allows you collect more district clues from mice.
    • should be paired with lantern oil for best effect.
    • expensive and can be bought from ronza / flea / market.
    • should only be used in the last hallways to go beyond 100+ clues.
  • Super / nightshade charms
    • super nightshade farming charms provides 1 nightshade upon successful hunt even if mouse doesn't drop any, normal nightshade farming charms provide 1 additional nightshade when a mouse drops 1 nightshade
    • nightshades are fungus are used for crafting GGC.
    • super nightshades farming charms can crafted or bought from flea / market.
    • nightshades charms can only be bought flea / market / charm shoppe at mossu picchu
    • nightshade farming should used at farming district to maximize use of charms
    • Super nightshade farming charms should be used at areas with high catch rates
    • couple with 2/3x event to multiple drops for best effect

Powercore Hammer

Infused Plate

Sacred Script

Plate of Fealty

Tech Power Core

Scholar Scroll

  • District loots
    • plate of fealty, scholar scrolls, tech cores are only obtainable from specific districts in zokor. These loots are district based so you cannot farm for other district loots other than the district you are in.
    • powercore hammer, infused plate, sacred script are district boss loot and can only be obtained once by defeating the boss.
    • district mini-boss can also drop district loots.
    • powercore hammer from Manaforge smith, infused plate from Paladin weapon Master, sacred script from Soul Binder.
    • after defeating the district bosses, you will get 1 extra district loot per catch.
    • needed for crafting the traps and buying stuff like lantern oil, compass magnet, etc.
    • district boss loot needed to craft traps and Mino key.

Labyrinth

  • Laby is split into 5 different hallways with 3 different quality and 3 different lengths. There are 5 different district doors that can appear in laby; tech, fealty, scholar, farming, and treasury. When you start a new run you can only choose between tech, scholar and fealty door at the entrance. The length of a hallway is divided into short, medium and long. Short hallways are 10 steps / hunts, medium are 15 steps / hunts and long are 25 steps / hunts. For quality there are plain, superior and epic hallways.

Note: Failure to attract does not count and will not move you 1 step further. Only failure to catch or catching a mice will move you 1 step.

  • The longer the hallway the more hunts you can hunt in it. The better quality the hallway, the more clues you can collect.
  • The quality of the hallways depends on your collected district clues. By default, only plain quality hallways will appear but as you collect more district specific clues, superior and epic quality hallways will appear at random.
    • Default, 0 clues = plain hallway
    • 15 clues = superior hallway unlocks
    • 60 clues = epic hallway unlocks
    • 80 clues = level 3 specific exit (eligible for boss)

Note: Treasury and farming have only plain and superior hallways and lvl 1 and 2 alert levels in zokor

  • The main goal is to collect enough clues before you exit to zokor so that you can hunt longer in zokor. You will exit to an intersection if you hit 100 clues. Your number of hunts in zokor depends on your collected clues from laby, more clues = more stealth = more hunts. It's possible to collect more than 100+ clues. The exits at zokor are based on your collected clues from the district.
  • If you hit 100 clues midway before reaching the end of the hallway you will not be kicked out, so do not worry. You will exit into the intersection at the end only.

District runs ( tech, scholar, fealty)

    • District runs are mainly for loot specific drops.
    • There are 3 specific districts each with its own mini-boss that drops a loot after it has been caught.
    • Loot specific district like tech, scholar and fealty drops more loot than treasury runs. Mini-boss loot is require for crafting Minotaur key as well as the traps. You are not able to get into the Minotaur's lair without the Minotaur key.

Treasury runs

    • Treasury only starts to appear when your total clues are 15 or more.
    • Treasury are divided into 2 categories.
      1. Treasure Room: needs < 49 treasury clues to unlock, mouse drops district loot.
      2. Treasure Vault: needs 50 > treasury clues to unlock, mice with high gold, district loot drop here are much less and way harder to get.
    • They also provide district loot drop like specific districts but much less at the the cost of all 3 district loot being able to drop.

Farming run

    • Farming runs are usually done to farm for GGC crafting materials. Mainly being nightshades and fungus.
    • You might have to do multiple of these runs to have enough cheese to do district runs.

Mino run

    • Mino runs are done for the core trap parts. Retired Minotaur drops essence of destruction, temporal shadow plate, or enigmatic core.
    • He also drops other things like Really, Really Shiny Precious Gold which is needed for Minotaur base.
    • For a complete list of items drop by retired Minotaur refer here.

Zokor

  • When you finish laby, you will exit at the last intersection of doors. Now depending on your amount of clues collected, different doors to exit zokor will be made available to you.
  • If you have 100+ specific district clues, then level 3 specific exit (eligible for boss) will be available. The number of clues = the stealth you have in zokor. Each time you hunt or failed to attract a mouse, 1 stealth will be deducted from the total stealth no matter if you have alert level 1, 2 or 3. However, failure to catch will cause you to lose stealth depending on your alert level.
  • There are 3 alert levels, 1 being the lowest and 3 being the highest. The alert levels are based on the clues that you have collected in laby. The alert level will also determine the number of stealth that you will lose if you failed to catch a mice in zokor.
    • 15 or more clues = level 1, lose 1 stealth for failure to catch
    • 50 or more clues = level 2, lose 2 stealth for failure to catch
    • 80 or more clues = level 3, lose 3 stealth for failure to catch
  • Once you are in zokor, you will hunt until your stealth runs out. When you stealth has run out, you will be kicked from zokor and you will need to restart your run again from laby to enter zokor.
