Mapping

  • In MouseHunt, there are things called maps. These maps are done because they provides certain stuff that hunters need like aura, charms, trap parts, Super|Brie+, etc.
  • Mapping also helps hunters to earn Super|Brie+ by selling leech slots but that's another story. For now we will focus on on how effectively solve maps.
  • There are many maps in MouseHunt some of which are Limited Edition or Limited Availability, in the sense that they cannot be obtain after a certain period is over.
  • Here are the list of maps available in MouseHunt:
    1. Relic Hunter Scroll Cases
    2. Scavenger Hunt Scroll Cases
    3. Area-Specific Scroll Cases
    4. Limited Availability Scroll Cases
    5. Chrome Scroll Cases
    6. Gilded Scroll Cases
    7. Golden Jade Scroll Cases
    8. Lightning Scroll Cases
    9. Rainbow Scroll Cases
    10. Etc...
  • Most of these maps require Ancient Relic to be purchased. In addition, some may require gold or even certain requirements to be meet before you can buy them.
  • They way these maps work are generally the same. You buy a map using Ancient Relic, open the map and start hunting the mice listed inside.
  • However there is a certain way to solve maps fast and effectively. This way has been practiced by many hunters in the Mapmeisters and other mapping groups in Facebook and has been followed ever since.
  • To start solving maps effectively, first you will need to get a map and open it.
  • Once that is done, copy the mice list and paste in Mapsolver. Mapsolver is one of the tools created by player to see the best place to hunt for mice.
  • Once you have pasted the mice list, Mapsolver will display a list of location on where best to hunt the mice.
  • It is best to solve the map according to time-sensitive mice followed by low attraction mice followed by normal mice.
  • Time-sensitive mouse include mice that are in forbidden grove, balack's cove and etc. Low attraction mice are like mice that are only attracted to a certain kind of cheese like Super|Brie+ or they rarely appear like Black Widow.
    • Higher priority > lower priority
    • Time-sensitive mouse > low attraction mouse > normal mouse
  • It is important to note that the mouse with the highest attraction or catch rate should be left as the last mouse. This will allow you to avoid accidentally catching the mouse and ending the map pre-maturely.
    • Note: Usually you will have a few mice with 100% attraction rate or high catch rate based on map solver. Use one of these mice as a last mouse. BUT if you do not have any like so, take the highest attraction mouse or the highest catch rate mouse as you last mouse.
  • Post in map corkboard what the last mouse is to remind yourself and others on the map, so that they do not accidentally catch it.
    • Example: Last Mouse: Master of Dojo
  • Leave the last mouse alone until you have hunted all the other mice.
    • Note: If you happen to have accidentally hunted the last mouse before any other mouse, choose the 2nd highest attraction or highest catch rate mouse to be the last mouse and repost it on your map cork-board.
  • This is how many hunters solve maps efficiently. Once you join some mapping groups, you will start to see similar concepts to this.
  • You might want to take note, if you on another hunter's map and you accidentally hunted their last mouse it could pose a problem to them. You might have just ended their map pre-maturely or they have no other easy mice as a last mouse and they could be stuck hunting a low attraction mice to end the map.

Summary

  • Copy mouse list and paste into Mapsolver.
  • Solve the map based on this priority.
    • High > Low
    • Time-sensitive mouse > low attraction mouse > normal mouse
  • Choose a last mouse with high attraction or catch rate.
  • Leave the last mouse until all other mice has been hunted
