Goblins (cyraxxidae) are a monogeneric family of macaque descended from rhepers. They can be found in the siberian glowcaves. Rhepers entered the caves during the desertification of Northern China and the Mowboars migrating into the caves. They have black hair, dark red skin, and a bald head, they come in at 3 feet in height.
They have large eyes for their size, coming in at around the same size of a human eye. They usually hide out behind columns and corners in order to ambush their main prey, pygs. They use their long black claws to tear into their prey's throat to deliver a quick death. Goblins tear into pyg carcasses with their sharp teeth and long snout to eat the nutrient rich organs. Eating pyg organs can put them at risk of prion diseases, which cause them to be extremely violent towards anything that moves in a behavior known as "goblin rage".
To prevent blood from getting in their hair and flies away, they have become completely bald-headed. The only downside to their baldness is the fact that while sleeping, goblins are fed off of by bedbugs. The bugbites are extremely itchy and goblins scratch their skulls constantly, which draws in predators. Goblins are preyed on by parasites, other goblins, and aggresive male pygs.
Goblins are completely solitary and only come together to mate. Gestation lasts for about five months and only one goblin is born at a time. Mothers show extensive parental care and keep their children close until they hit maturity at 2 years old.
