Tutor: AR Alice Wong
In order to find potential for developing responsive architectural designs within the urban context and place-making guided urban space in the given site, this project aims to evaluate the character, identity, and uniqueness of a town and urban region. By evaluating the 'content' of the urban context inside the suggested site, the project introduces students to the foundations of urban planning.
Project 1A is a group project within each tutorial group. Every single member was assigned different tasks for this project.
Each tutorial group consists of 10 to 12 students.
Project 1A will be able to help us overcome and understand the given site which is Petaling Street. Furthermore, this project is an extension to project 1B, an individual project where each student must find their Sense of Place in Petaling Street.

REFLECTION:
In this group project, I have learned a new task that I have never taken which was human behavior. This task has shown me and the group member a hard time due to it being observing the human activities and their behavior in Petaling Street. The activities cannot be justified by just observing, so we had to interview a number of people that ranges from tourists, locals, immigrants, and blue-collar workers. Every single one has their own unique ways of describing and views towards Petaling Streets. This has given us a hard time but we manage to give our best in justifying the right conclusion.
In summary, it is a difficult task to overcome but I'm grateful to have taken it as it has taught me how to understand the people's needs in Petaling Street and has helped me towards the design intention for project 1B.
