Designing with Architectural Principles and Materiality

Project Task and Overview:
Project 2 is a group project consisting of 3-4 people in one group. Based on our prior research of Studio Saxe architects' Tropical Atrium Jungle Frame, we must apply the architectural principles from the first assignment and investigate our conceptual and operational techniques in order to create a major gesture of architectural spaces in project 2. In the sense that it will inform two areas: producing forms and crafting places, we must investigate the potential meanings and ramifications of these architectural principles. Our main goal is to create an introspective architectural folly with a maximum volume of 125 m3 that provides spatial experience.

Reflection:
This project was hard because each member had their own ways of design thinking but at the end of it, we pulled it off and were proud of our work together. Being the leader for this project had taught me many lessons that I would change to make leading the team better. Nevertheless, the work I have done for this project has taught me how to use the diagrammatic from project 1 in my design and I was able to use that as an advantage to elaborate it more.
