Sensory Space: Interpretation and representation of principle, tectonics and sensory
Tutor: Mr Chern Li Young
Project task and overview:
Project 3 is an individual task to further develop anthropometry and tectonics from project 2. The task is to design a sensory space that depicts the emotion of the user and enhancing the spatial experience within the structure.
We were given 20m^3 space to use for this project
Design intention: Evolve
Banal Action: Lying down
Sketches of the design process and development:
The sketches start with the study of my design intention which is evolve. The abstract drawing is then used to portray the journey of the design intentions and tattoo stamps to illustrate feelings and emotions of the spatial experience.
Final Design:
Reflection:
In this project, there were ups and downs in the journey since MCO 3.0 started. Nevertheless, I manage to finish it at the end and have learned a lot of valuable lessons that should not be repeated anymore. The project started late for me as I did not have a lot of materials to work on sketch models but instead, I drew most of it and it was the same. However, it could have been better if there sketch models as it is easier to analyse and improve the models.
For a future project, I hope to be more ready and equipped for the next project.
