Task and Overview:
The lectures set the extent of the subject. Based on the lecture handout and external materials, students must choose one form of vernacular or traditional architecture (books, journal articles, etc.).
Traditional Chinese architecture, Indian architecture, Malay vernacular architecture, and Southeast Asian vernacular architecture are all examples of traditional architecture.
The following elements should be included in the infographic framework:
Architectural creation and development are influenced by design thinking/cosmology, history, society, and culture.
Choose one of the following topics:
Materials, structures, and constructions Types of construction Conception of a spatial layout Materials, structures, and constructions
Include a clear title, pertinent diagrams, images, and a thorough bibliography in your paper. When citing photos from external sources, use the APA style guide.
Final Outcome
Reflection:
The infographic assessment was the most enjoyable to do because I was interested in the vernacular of traditional Malay house. Learning about the structure and the materials used for the construction of the vernacular was interesting. Even how the house was designed had taught me how to use timber material without nails and I would love to use that knowledge for future Architectural design projects.
