Skill & Luck - The Casino's New Management
Skill and Luck are the two people who opened Gold Rush for business again. You can meet both of them in a wandering meet and greet. Skill is dressed up like a mechanic- he's the one that fixed all of the machines and neon to get it working again. Luck is dressed in an old suit and is more of a businessman/charmer type.
Skill you'll find near the arcade and the flat rides whereas Luck wanders the whole area.
Defender & Bug - The Sheriff and his Steed
Defender is the law around these parts. A grizzled gunsman ready to protect The Settlement of Rebirth from bandits, mutants, and any other threats. The New Frontier isn't a safe place, Defender does what he can to make it safer.
He is one of the few people to ever tame one of the Mutant Creatures. A large, beetle-like beast he calls Bug. Defender doesn't have many soft spots, but Bug is one of them.
When he isn't out patrolling, Defender & Bug can be found in the heart of the settlement outside the Sheriff's Office facade. Bug is a simple animatronic with a few pre-programmed movements that the actor playing Defender can control with a hidden remote in his belt. Both for modern sensibilities and to fit with the Post-Apocalyptic vibe, Defender forgoes a revolver in favor of a crossbow. Replicas of his crossbow can be purchased from The Future store.
