Blair's world diner

Written by @Outbound

Welcome to Blair's World Diner, located just by the entry of It's A Small World. Blair's is a table-service restaurant aimed at families. Kids can enjoy the whimsical atmosphere while adults can indulge in unique cuisines around the world. All parts of Blair's menu are divided equally amongst the six continents, ensuring no one region is over-represented.

BLAIR'S MAP

Above, you can see a map of the establishment. Blair's overlooks the departure of IASW boats, similar to the Blue Lagoon of POTC in Disneyland. On the walls not overlooking the water is a Mary-Blair style mural, showing the children of the world all holding hands. Also along the walls are moving motors and levers, just like the entrance façade of IASW, bringing life to the sides of the room.

Given Blair's family emphasis, characters dines are a must. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy can all be expected to drop in every once in a while to say hello (10:00, 2:00, and 6:00 PM).

At the center of the restaurant is a Ball Pit, for children to play while waiting for the food to arrive. The Pit is protected from the rest of the restaurant by plexiglass. Only those ages 4-9 are permitted into the Ball Pit, and all children must hand sanitize before entering. The Pit is always supervised by a certified Disney Cast Member.

In addition the Ball Pit, children (and parents!) are encouraged to draw. Like the Macaroni Grill, Blair's provides crayons for coloring on the table mat. A sheet of paper is laid over the tablecloth for each party.

Adding to the kinetic energy of the restaurant is the Boat Parade. Think of this like a toy train set weaving it's way around the ceiling of the diner. Only, instead of toy trains, these are toy boats!

The toy boats follow a "canal" system that slowly takes them around the edges of the diner. The boats themselves are actually on tracks: it's just noticeable from the water. On each boat is a child and flag, representing a nationality. These boats pass by on parade, in perfect harmony.
