What We Hear -

Journal Entry 2

"If there is any wisdom running through my life now, in my walking on this earth, it came from listening in the Great Silence to the stones, trees, space, the wild animals, to the pulse of all life as my heartbeat."

- Vaijali Hamilton

Reflect on your walk today and the variety of sounds you experienced. Reread Vijali Hamilton’s quote at the beginning of this section. What lessons can you learn about life from pausing long enough to listen to the world around you? How can you silence the chatter around you and within you long enough to become a true listener? In the space of silence, what do you hear the loudest? Do the principles that matter most resonate more clearly when you pause in silence? How can we learn to listen to the words, ideas, feelings, and expressions that are never given voice?
