I am Prof. V. Narayanan Namboothiri, an Economics educator, researcher, and indigenous technologist from Kerala, India. With 49 years of experience spanning teaching in professional college and arts & science college, along with contributions in the public sector, collaborative projects, and sustainability-driven technological development, my journey has always been guided by an inner passion to make education meaningful and technology eco-friendly..
Parallel to my work in academics, I have dedicated several decades to designing machines and indigenous technologies of great social impact — innovations that convert indigenous resources and recycled materials into useful, value-added products that empower communities and support sustainable development.
My mission has always been simple — to find technological solutions that reduce waste, empower local communities, and support a greener future.
Ultimately, my work — whether in classrooms, laboratories, workshops, or social platforms — has always been rooted in a single belief: knowledge must improve life. I continue to share ideas, innovations, and inspiration with society through research, publications, workshops, and outreach, hoping to contribute towards a greener, sustainable, and value-based future, and to ignite curiosity and scientific thinking in young minds.
Technology must serve society — not replace humanity.
When knowledge touches life, innovation becomes meaningful.
