Vendor and Retail Promotional Items

The items on this page were available to employees and licensed vendors of American Greetings and Kenner products.

Some items contain marketing plans that would have been shared with employees to help them promote the products. Other items would have been given out to potentional retailers to advertise what was available for them to purchase and sell.

These items are difficult to find and often expensive since they were not widely available to the public and many would have been thrown away after use by various retailers.

KENNER TOY FAIR CATALOGS

These books contain Kenner products that were available for retail sale during each of the years listed. Not only do they contain the new Strawberry Shortcake items available for each of the years, they also contain available products for other popular Kenner toys such as Care Bears, Rose Petal Place, and Star Wars.

These would have been given out at each years' Toy Fair to advertise to potential vendors.

Parker Brothers 1981 Product Catalog

This product book is from 1981 and shows the toys and games available from Parker Brothers that year.

Pictured are the details about the Strawberry Shortcake Big Apple City game as well as three of the card games and the Game Basket.

Makit & Bakit Product Catalog

To my knowledge, the Baby Strawberry Shortcake one shown above was never produced. The others were and are harder to find ones from the collection of Makit & Bakit kits.

These pictures show various Makit & Bakit productions that were to be released in 1984. Also shown are a couple different store displays.

Craft Master Product Catalog

To my knowledge this Baby Strawberry Shortcake Makit & Bakit kit was never released for purchase.

Detail picture of some of the products

These are Paint by Number kits. To my knowledge, the Baby Needs a name and Berry Baby ones were never released.

These Stain-A-Sticker kits are extremely rare. I own the one with Strawberry and Huck, but have never seen the other for sale. The only time I have seen one for sale was when I bought mine.

The Cafe Ole and Strawberry Shortcake puzzle shown here is very hard to find. Based on my own research I believe it was only available in Australia. All the ones I have seen in collections or for sale have come from Australia.

To my knowledge, this set of Sewing Cards was never released for purchase.
