Fabulous Fakes

With the success of the Strawberry Shortcake line came many others who wanted to cash in and ride her coat tails. From images on greeting cards and other products to toys, copycats began to flood the market.

These pages of my site showcases some of the "fakies" out there.. I don't actively seek out fakes, but if I come across them and they appeal to me, I will pick them up. I did have a couple of the Lanard minis (showing on the "Dolls" page) when I was a kid, however, so I do have some nostalgia for them. My main interest in fakes is generally in those who look very similar to the original dolls or images of Strawberry Shortcake and her friends.
