Community Speed & Parking Guidelines

Safety is our priority. Stoneridge Village is a residential community with children, elderly residents, and neighbors walking pets. Please drive accordingly.

1. Speed Limit: 15 MPH – No Exceptions

• Strict Limit: The speed limit is 15 MPH throughout the entire community.

• Applicability: This applies to everyone—residents, guests, visitors, and delivery drivers.

• Warning: Consider this your official notice. There is no grace period for speeding.

2. Speeding as a "Nuisance" Violation

Per the Association Bylaws, speeding is classified as a nuisance:

"No nuisances shall be allowed upon the Condominium property, nor any use or practice that is the source of unreasonable annoyance to residents or which interferes with the peaceful possession and proper use of the property by its residents."

Speeding interferes with the rights, comfort, and convenience of Unit Owners and will be cited as a nuisance violation.

3. Enforcement & Fines

• Fine Amount: A $75 fine will be issued per violation.

• Observation: Fines may be issued if a Board member or designated community observer witnesses a vehicle exceeding 15 MPH or engaging in nuisance behavior (loud noise, loitering, blocking driveways).

• Immediate Action: No second chances—this announcement serves as the final warning.

4. Private Roads & Police Involvement

• Jurisdiction: Although our roads are private, the City of Sun Prairie Police Department is authorized to enforce traffic laws within the community.

• Double Liability: Residents may receive police-issued citations in addition to Association fines.

5. Resident Responsibility for Guests

• Accountability: Unit owners are responsible for the actions of their guests.

• Guest Policy: Owners will receive one (1) written warning for a guest violation. Subsequent violations will result in a $75 fine issued directly to the Unit Owner.

6. A Note from the Board

These rules and signs are about safety, not control. While the Board prioritizes communication over punishment, continued disregard for community safety has made strict enforcement necessary.
