Snow Removal and Salting

Stoneridge Village partners with S&K to manage winter weather. To ensure safety and efficiency, please note the following protocols:

Trigger: S&K plows driveways and sidewalks after each snowfall.
Measurement: Snowfall totals are determined using National Weather Service data, updated 24 hours after the snow ends.
Priority During Heavy Snow: In the event of large storms, driveways and parking areas are cleared first to ensure safe entry and exit for vehicles. Sidewalks may be delayed but will be cleared before any city citations are issued.
Garage Safety: To prevent damage to garage doors, S&K will hand-shovel the 2-foot area directly in front of your garage.

Primary Responsibility: Per Bylaw 6.4 (Adopted 2011), unit owners are responsible for salting their own sidewalks and driveways.
Association Courtesy: While not contractually required, the Association typically applies salt to sidewalks and driveways once per snowfall as a courtesy to residents.

Provision: This year, the Association is providing each unit with a 5-gallon bucket filled with a salt-sand mixture to assist with personal maintenance.
Storage: Please store your salt bucket inside your garage.
Requirements: Keeping buckets inside ensures the mixture stays dry/usable and maintains the clean, uniform aesthetic of Stoneridge Village.

Plow Damage: S&K will attempt to repair any plow-related lawn damage in the spring.
Homeowner Support: S&K will provide the seed, straw, and netting; however, homeowners near the damaged areas are asked to water the repaired spots to ensure successful regrowth.

Citations: If a city citation is issued due to a clearing delay, S&K will handle the resolution.
Tax Status: Snow Removal services are non-taxable; Lawn Care services are taxable.
