Architectural Controls – Rules & Guidelines

1. Get Written Approval First

• No structural changes (inside or outside) may be made to your Unit without prior written approval from the Board.

• If your unit has a mortgage, approval from your mortgage lender may also be required.

2. Exterior Colors Must Match

• No changes to the siding, trim, or roof colors are allowed without Board approval.

• All buildings must have consistent colors—roofs, siding, and trim must match within each building.

3. Garage & Outside Doors Must Match

• Garage doors and other visible exterior doors must be identical in style, type, and color for all Units in the same building.

4. Front Doors Have Limited Flexibility

• Front doors may differ in color or style, but:

  • You must get Board approval first before installing a new door or repainting.

  • No changes can be made without submitting your request for board review.

Architectural Controls Directly from the Bylaws

• No structural changes or alterations shall be made to any Unit without prior written consent of the Board of Directors of the Stoneridge Village Condominiums Unit Owners Association, Inc., and approval by any mortgagee holding a first mortgage on the Unit(s). 

• There shall be no changes made as to the color of the siding, trim or roof of any Unit at any time without prior Association approval.  Homogeneous roof, siding and trim colors shall be required at all times at to each building within the Condominium. 

• Garage doors, shall be identical as to each Unit in each building. 

• Outside doors (doors visible to passersby other than front doors on Units) as to style, type and color, including garage doors, shall be identical as to each Unit in each building. With respect to front doors on the Units, such doors may vary in style and color; however, Board approval must be sought and obtained prior to the purchase and placement of any new front door or prior to any change in appearance of an existing front door.
