Passion Tech: Any attack mixing several of a subclass' and/or racial abilities to create a stronger effect amplified by passion. Almost all sub-classes have many of these except for certain types such as Accel Wielder and Blade Gunner.
Unison Raid: A term used for the combining of two individuals' sub-class powers into one attack. There is a fundamental difference between a combination attack and a Unison Raid; being that a combination attack is the separate assault in a short time-frame from any sized group of individuals, whereas a Unison Raid is solely two individuals combining their powers for an entirely new attack, to devastating (relative to their combined Passion) effect. Can have an even greater effect if the two sub-classes are in Synch.
Synch: Two sub-class powers that mesh well together for a Unison Raid. For example; obviously, Water and Fire wouldn't mix well and thus wouldn't be in Synch, but Water and Ice do work well, and would be in Synch.
Dark Desires: On a functional level, these are abilities which're distinguished from normal Passion Techs by two things. Firstly, they are derived from malignant intent; secondly, they are capable of outputting far greater effects than should otherwise be possible with the user's level of passion. These techniques usually have indiscriminately destructive or distasteful results which leads them to be looked on with suspicion by many. Apart from this, it is also much more difficult for most wielders to properly control and manipulate their effects, some question whether they control their passion or if the passion overtakes them. Examples include Runeye's Solid Scriptures IX - Dark Ecriture: Darkness, Sun Priestess' Power Word - End, and Minuteman's Inflict - Torment.
Draconic: A family of races, most prominent in Naraida and Elysium, that share some genetics despite not often being similar in stature or appearance. Having lukewarm blood temperature, none of them like the rain or excessive cold, however most benefit from regenerative properties and excel with magic that utilises their bodies. Draconic races once shared a tongue, but after Naraida exiled itself from Elysium, it became split into two dialects, and by now is mostly a gibberish non-functional language only used for traditional purposes. Includes the Dragonborn, Daekon, Salamander, Cobra and Hydra families among others.
Dark Anima: A family of races with unclear origins. They tend to excel in using dark elemental magics, as well as generating fire, but most of all they're linked by their natural persuasiveness and guile. Dark Anima races never shared a language that was known, if they had their own indvidual languages they've by now been completely forgotten. Includes the Baphomet, Demons, Ignis, Arachana and Sangaia.
Earth Anima: The family of races that the majority of Sliver's population belongs to. Even compared to the other families which are diverse enough in their own right, Earth Anima races tend to have very little in common with one another. However, there are several Earth Anima racial languages that remain alive and fully-functional in Naraida, such as Fyaerl. This family encompasses the humans, physical hybrid races like the Neko, and fully-bestial races like the Rekthoni. It also includes magically-inclined minority races like the Fae, but surprisingly not the Hesti.
Fyaerl: A flutey, musical language used by many of the magical races living in Naraida.
Trume: A non-conversational language specifically created to assist in passion-tech magics that use spoken word invocations in their casting.
Loyal Passion: Not what it may seem - a controversial term on Sliver. Because at least a portion of power is derived from individuality and self-expression, it's more uncommon than you'd think to be able to use someone else's full power for your own ends. Most people will assist to a point, but won't threaten themselves or others on command in almost all cases. For those whose passion isn't limited by this at all - mercenaries, and those incredibly devoted to another, that's considered unusual. It's considered a threat. It is quite noticeable just how few people there are who have powers to exert even a small degree of control over others. Some in knowledge of this believe it may be due to a concerted effort to destroy anyone who could cultivate a large number of Loyal Passions.
The Novo Strellan Eight:
The Novo Strellan Eight are eight particularly influential families (and their respective organisations and/or interests) that reside within Novo Strella, although there's both the Elysian House and the North also has its own regional systems of government, it's the designs (and disagreements) of the Novo Strellan Eight which really decide the North's progress.
They do tend to be filthy stinking rich because money is usually power in the North, of course.
Other Northerners who want a hand in the North's direction generally either work under the noses of the NSE (Edelhart for example), or they play the slower game and try and work with one of the NSE dynasties (Siegrain would count if the Locuses aren't an NSE themselves, which I don't know).
Burst Board:
A special board used by Waveriders, a normal Burst has up to 3 magical gems attached to the bottom of the board, allowing the Waverider to channel magic to it to launch them into the sky and maintain flight.
While a Triton Waverider gains no special Burst, a Zeus Waverider is offered an upgrade to their current Burst's magic gem count, up to a maximum of 6, this upgrade gives them smoother riding in the air and the ability to maintain flight longer.
Fun fact: A group of waveriders have their own names, depending on their ranking;
Regular Waveriders are called Lightbursts, Triton Waveriders are called Stormbursts, and Zeus Waveriders are called Starbursts.
"Wave" Energy ft. Camilla Browning:
"Hihi! Camilla Browning here with a special super-short lesson about the Waves!" -
"The Waves commonly used by Waveriders is an old energy that existed since the dawn of man, but as time went on its use dwindled in favor of easier and more convenient things.
You could warm people up with the Waves but why stress it when you can just make fire with wood or something?
Wanna kill a wolf? You could fling lots of wave blasts at it OR you can just stab it with a really point stick. Our ancestors felt like taking the easy way out. Even now, we can channel the Waves...but most of us generate such a tiny, meaningless amount it basically does nothing.
Now these waves we can channel are nothing like the Waves of old. You might've heard of these waves as the Ancestor Waves or, it's more accurate name, The Primal Waves. It had a different name but I forgot...anyways! These are exclusive to expert Waveriders, but we've learned the hard way that trying to channel these Primal Waves can really mess the user up big time!
From physical and mental pains to going insane or even turning into an unholy Beast Without Memory...Primal Waves are locked away naturally for good reason.
Hope that helped you out a lil', greenhorn! Camilla Browning, over'n'out!"

Equilibrium Sphere:
An Equilibrium Sphere is a powerful, magical sphere, extremely rare in the lands of Sliver, these spheres can vary wildly in what they offer and do. But for whatever great and potentially law-defying powers they give, the wielder must abide to certain things and desires the Sphere inherently has in order to give the wielder its powers.
If one cannot manage to control the sphere and mindlessly follow what it wants, they'll be overtaken by it, becoming cursed by the spheres while it overtakes their minds.
The most well-known example of this is Elzam Crimson and his Sphere, Whispering Lonely Star. For great wind powers and to be guided under it, he must answer its whims and wishes, lest it robs him of his powers.
Saturn Rays:
Powerful cosmic rays that has been harnessed by a Camilla Browning through extremely lucky events, it takes the form of minty green beams of wild light.
Uncontrollable and destructive in their raw form, the Saturn Rays seem to only (positively) respond to positive emotions and intentions, and when harnessed, it will fuel the user's fighting spirit and power them up greatly.
When weaponized, the Saturn Rays can annihilate small areas with enough charge through energy beams, energy balls and energy beam showers.
It's been noted that those who try to control the Saturn Rays and have malicious intentions will be warped into grotesque abominations fueled by Saturn Rays.
