Brief sub-class summary:
Waveriders can control free-flowing elemental magic within them that's generally weak, but allows them to use special, magic-infused surfboards (nicknamed Bursts) that allows them to move through places while hovering around with their Bursts, or use their innate magic to allow temporary and periodic gliding/flying.
A difficult ability to master, most Waveriders turn to entertainment paths, but a Triton Waverider is a step-above, one who was able to feel the flow of their Burst and ride it out, it's a more combat-capable type of Waverider, right below the strongest, a Zeus Waverider.
Mars' element is Electricity, he can use it freely and also to power his Burst board, along with two special weapons specifically made for those gifted in the Waverider technique.
When used for an extended period of time, Mars will have to put away his Burst board ( slinging it on his back ) in order to let the Burst crystals to recharge.

Individual/sub-class powers:
Burst Mastery: Mars has gained great proficiency in using a Burst, riding it through the air with great finesse, which helped promote him from a regular Waverider to a Triton Waverider.
BURST! "TO THE SKIES!": Mars forces the magic gems at the bottom of his Burst to overflow with energy, causing him to boom upwards and enter a Gliding state, which allows him for free movement in the air as he is rapidly descending to the ground, and preforming any melee-based attacks will instantly end this gliding state. There are some moves that can only be done during this gliding state.
-Glory Crash "Can you see it? Can you see my DRIVE?": Dances all around the opponent(s) using his skilful gliding skills before preforming a hit-and-run with his E7 Slasher on a single enemy. Keeps Mars in the air for a little longer.
-Royal Assault "Can you hear it? Can you hear my HEART?": Tactical manuever that applies below-average marksmanship with his S.W.E.A.TBlaster and compensating by simply raining down rapid fire from all sides. Forces Mars out of his gliding state.
-Starchaser "Can you feel it? Can you feel my SOUL?!": Barrages an enemy group with reckless fire from his S.W.E.A.T Blaster before making a mad dash towards a single enemy from above with his E7 Slasher, making a swift move to fly right away before his gliding state ends. Requires the Burst to be put away to recharge.

Image for reference, hair is platinum blond with fair white skin, eyes are a bright sky blue color, clothing is a fuchsia color with the crop jacket fading into white as it goes down and is usually left unzipped, fingernails are slightly long and painted black.
Picture in formalwear: Same as his regular wear, except the crop jacket is replaced with a normal jacket (zipped up)

Weapons and combat gear they use:
Burst Board "Freedom Herald": A Burst Board with a sky-theme design. There are three medium-sized magic gems stuck to the bottom of the Burst, allowing Mars to fly with it.
E7 Slasher "Lover": A common E7 Slasher machete, commonly used by low-ranking high-tech soldiers or Triton Waveriders. Infused with a magic crystal, Mars runs his magic through this blade to make it do some real pain.
S.W.E.A.T-909 Beam Blaster "Nomad": A Beam Blaster that's really powered by magic, it converts any channelled magics through it's magic crystal into a beam. Weak. Accurate. Rapid.

Hometown: Novo Strella
Personality:
Mars is a free-spirited, optimistic Strellan, he can't stand being confined and chained to specific places and is always awed by the land and skies he gazes towards. You might not even be able to tell he's from the North at first glance.
He's always happy to meet new people and discover the good he can in this world, his ideals reaching to the point where he wished to touch the sky.
Never one to back down from a fight, his Triton status is not a joke he gained, and will show the terror of his speed and manoeuvrability against opponents who take him lightly, with or without his Burst.
How committed they are to their region: Hates it's atmosphere and the strictness of the upstart academy and sheer asshole-factor it and his hometown can spawn is something he detests.
Short backstory:
Mars Signus belongs to the Signus family, a royal family in the north who have never expected Mars Signus to become what he is. Getting him a Burst board just for him to have fun seemed like a safe bet at first, until it grew into a hobby and eventually his mastery.
This was met with great joy from his immediate family, but his exposure to the fleeting, thrilling flight with a Burst board made him more open-minded, more curious to the outside world beyond Novo Strella.
Though scorned by those around him and his parents attempted to get him to stop with this sort of mindset, Mars refused, his freedom paramount, he urged them to send him to Lichthart, to the great shock of many.
He plans on making a difference. A big one. As a Triton Waverider he WILL ascend to a Zeus Waverider in the southern ranks, and will show his Novo Strellan family his resolve and his desire to be free from the painful and choking restraints of the world.

He also knows some of the Novo Strellans that are in Pensalir, to which he refuses to comment on. He always has a grim expression when asked about them...
Notes:
Sometimes likes to make a V-Sign when initiating his BURST! power.
Can handle hot foods more than you might think.
Cats are scary to him.
