Below is a list of the known types of beasts without memory that the first years have come across in their travels. This will be updated as time passes, naturally, and most of this is subject to change when new information is doled out.
Pensalir Encounters
Northwest Mines
- Unknown Mukades:
- A strain of anthropoid beasts that dwell in small and dark recesses. Their heads are host to faces that appear human, so fear plays into their ability to dispatch hunters as well. Horribly misshapen in both form and action, but does not stop them from killing. Passions ranging from 8-12.
- Keleki:
- A predatory beast. Passion 14. Tends to attempt quick kills on targets by going for the more vital parts of the body.
- Beauties:
- Diminutive creatures that bear the ability to inflict harm upon those that view their ugly forms. Known to grow into Medusas. Their physical form harms viewers even in photographs, so illustrations must suffice. Passions ranging from 1 to 3. Quite durable despite their low passions, and possibly too ugly to die.
- Medusas:
- The mature form of a Beauty, these creatures feed upon their lesser kin, and share their ability to inflict harm by being spectated. They also have the ability to warp their target's perception, mentally, and have both a hallucinogenic toxin and a paralyzing venom. Passions ranging from 20-43.
Lichthart Encounters
Ozon Runs
- Clawkin: Hairy mounds of flesh, claws, and teeth, these keen beasts are often found in the Ozon Runs. They are weak, having only around 1~3 passion a piece, but should not be trifled with- especially in numbers.
- Unknown Beasts: Beasts mostly made of mouth than anything else. Small, and often in groups. Passions around 1~6. Found in Ozon Runs.
- Morass Stalkers:
- Predatory beasts that have an appearance and temper that scare smaller beasts away. Their claws are sharp and hard enough to cut stone and metal, making easy work of unprepared hunters. Taking cover is not advised, and the best thing to do is to not be within its reach at all. Passion of 140. Known to kill other beasts, and will hunt anything in its sight to obtain memory. Surprisingly durable, and intelligent enough to use intimidation tactics.
Dunlitt Bog
- Swamp Sahagins: Semi-aquatic beasts, they are a mire of various traits- powerful legs, fishlike gills, and a level rudimentary intelligence that allows them to use and craft weaponry. They also sport the ability to regenerate and heal their wounds when submerged in water, and tend to retreat to this aquatic home when in danger. Passions ranging from 13~25.
- Dredge Skolvers:
- Beasts resembling canines, these creatures hunt in packs similar to that of a wolf. Passion of 32.
- Nightmarenaries: Small birdlike beasts, resembling that of a large canary. Is mostly an annoyance to most fighters with only a Passion of 1~2, but in flocks can prove capable of wearing down enemies or distracting them for other beasts.
