Race and Class Details:
- Race name: Celestial
- * Racial abilities: The abilities of a Celestial vary from individual to individual, and Ara is no exception. For her, she is remarkably similar to a human as she has no real extreme difference in racial abilities as a human. She, however, does have a few at her disposal. Her first of these being that she can essentially become a living glow stick of varying degrees of brightness, but causes her to spend her energy at a faster pace. She can also create and manipulate an orange type of light for various things, such as outlining objects and humans or blinding an opponent temporarily (and in extreme cases, damaging sight and permanently blinding them). I will call this faerie light as it is reminiscent of an ability of the drow in the D&D series of a similar name.
- * Racial weaknesses: As with abilities, weaknesses of the Celestials changes from person to person. For Ara, the key weakness of her branch of Celestial specie is that she is exponentially weaker at night, and that she spends more energy at a faster rate at night. As well, she is oddly weak to copper if all things, being able to cut through her like warm butter. Without proper attention, medical or otherwise (such as cleaning or healing or whatnot), she will heal wounds slightly slower than most.

- Sub-class: Light Reaper
- Brief sub-class summary: Basically, this class is only called Light Reaper because of the weapon of choice, scythe, and emphasize on controlling of light. The class uses a scythe in tangent with light, typically blinding an opponent or confusing them with illusions and then attacking. Light isn’t tangible, as much as some wish it could be, so it cannot restrain a person. It can, however, create the illusion of their hands being bound when they really aren’t.
Individual/sub-class powers:
- Light Illusions: The “reaper” uses the light around them to create illusions ranging from big to small. This is an easy trick that doesn’t take much energy out of a person, but it does range depending on the size of the illusion. Also, the bigger the illusion, the easier it is to detect that it is indeed an illusion. Larger illusions doctake more energy, and a perfect, undetectable large illusion takes immense concentration.
- Faerie Lights: Baring the same name as the racial skill of the Celestial, this particular power just allows the light of the “reaper” to be a different colour, behaving the same way as the skill as well. If a person who wasn’t a Celestial were to be a Light Reaper and use this skill, they could still produce Faerie Lights of any colour. The Faerie Light racial skill takes less energy than the class power.
- Light Charge: Channeling light into an orb of varying sizes, this power can be used for a small number of things depending on what the user wants. The power could be used to blind someone, sear a patch of skin/burn through clothes because of an odd heat produced by the attack, be placed on the ground in a mine sort of way that is activated when stepped on, used for a way to create fire, and a number of other things that are unknown by Ara (who knows only the four that were listed). This heat does affect the “reaper” if held onto for too long, so the attack should be precalculated.
- Light Imbuement: This power essentially temporarily enchants, or imbues, a weapon or piece of armour of anything be it the “reaper’s” own or not. This increases attack and defence for one attack/hit as the light dissipates in a brief, blinding flash as the weapon contacts the target in question, or the article of armour/clothing gets hit. The light on armour will take a hit for a person as to not ruin clothing or light armour.
- Unblinded Eyes: A passive power that is always active, the “reaper” cannot be blinded, temporarily or permanently, by light. They are also unaffected by bright lights in most ways, being able to see in intense light where others cannot.
- Blinding Kamikaze: The other passive of the class that activates when a fatal or extremely lethal blow is delivered, the “reaper” lets out a very bright and blinding light and the “reaper” gains a temporary boost of energy to hopefully either get away or finish off an enemy. This does depend on the injury, as in if the legs are injured you can’t randomly run and the such, and the energy that would be put towards the energy boost would be put toward an even brighter light if it is a killing blow.
Appearance:
- Picture or description in their usual dress: View attachment 192632 Take this. Now make her eyes orange and change her hair to the same orange with goldish brown streaks in it. Now, put a crown of barbwire weaved in and out of her neck, through her skin. It’s as painful as it looks.
- * Picture in formalwear: She stays the hell away from formal events for whatever reason, but if she must, she essentially wears this: View attachment 192633 You know, just put her appearance in these clothes. Blue jeans for pants cause she doesn’t really like dresses.
- Weapons and combat gear they use: She doesn’t use anything special for clothes really, although her current clothes are made out of some tough, yet flexible material. For her scythe...: View attachment 192634 Remove that random spike on the handle jutting out of the main handle and change the red to the same orange, which I should say looks like this. Just a standard scythe with an “edgy” looking design that can channel light imbuement well
Nature:
- Hometown: Naraida
- Personality: Ara is a fairly shy person who is surprisingly intelligent, especially for someone who can’t participate in classes and whatnot. She cannot speak very loudly because of the barbwire in her neck for some reason, and whenever she does speak she has to strain herself to produce a weak, quiet voice that sounds rough and unused. She’s usually distant because of her lack of communication and doesn’t have many friends, although is fairly friendly once someone is able to have her warm up to them.
- * How committed they are to their region: About 65%, although it depends on the day really.
- * Short backstory: No one knows jack about her back backstory in the slightest for some reason, and she doesn’t ever seem to ever tell anyone or ever will. It’s both clear and unclear why, but who cares amiright?
