The Information Resources section for the SIG:KM are intended to be those primarily directed to the care and keeping of the discipline of KM. However since there is no "sig:pub" or "sig:lib" or whatever it would be there is a need to collect the numerous technical and scientific publishing houses that are the source of the trade journal and academic press articles that supply much of current day "knowledge".
These "bulk publishers" are listed as "vendors" in sig:km - with this section restricted to the above very small sub-set of that collection.
