SIG:KM has an ongoing project to identify the timelines of variuos information technologies that are being used by various SIG's over the years - especially since the 1970's when the first wholesale conversions to computer based systems for business and engineering began to take place.
Companies like IBM, Wang, Oracle, SAP, AutoDesk, Honeywell (remember them?), and many other household names have come and gone - some flourishing - others - not so much.
